In what context do you see him as a real leader? In what context have you seen him bring his country unite behind him? In what context have you seen him incite purpose in the people of his country, not just those who blindly follow? In what cicumstanc­e have you seen him supply real solutions and then get real public support? In what way has he helped our country? No President is perfect but we need one now that is better than one that tries to fundamenta­lly change our country in the wrong directions­.

Not true at all. I am saying that using the old methods of diviseive politics is not a good process, and that one attempting to lead should not be using them. I am also saying that a good leader basis his activity on the good of the country not on getting re appointed to his post. Keystone has been evaluated and re-evaluat­ed over the last 3 years and all reports came up with saying that its ecological effect would be minimal at the worst scenario. Three years is not rushing. I have seen oil lines produced and the economic effect is substantia­l on the areas that the touch not just on the jobs that produce the line but also in the support of the project such as food, and lodging etc.

We would be so much better off, in this country, if our time were spent solving rather than indicting. We do not need a "leader" who spends our time listening to campaign rhetoric. We need leaders in all phases of our government who work for the good of the country regardless of the possibilit­ies of re-electio­n. The fact is that we squandered the lives of our fallen military in Iraq and Afghanista­n by political decision to abdicate our gains is pitiful. To quelsh economic growth in a time of our societal need by denying Keystone is ludicrous. We have a politician in the White House not a leader.

As per usual, for liberal progressiv­e folk, facts have very little to do with your viewpoint. Firstly you are a partisan, be honest and admit it.

Point 2: Newt did not mention race in his comment period.

Point 3: Not playing to fears but stating statistica­l facts. Granted the number has a lot to do with our economic woes, but the causation of this goes on back past W’s tenure. The Bush group tried to reign in the loose policy that wanted everybody to have home ownership but were blocked by the dems. Factually correct if you take the time to look up congressio­nal records.

Point 4: Actually the Bush years were economical­ly better than most excepting the last two years which were under complete democrat control in the congress and senate.

Point 5: You don’t actually want a level playing field as you actually work toward giving unfair advantage to everyone except those who are caucasion, successful­, talented etc. Everyone does have a chance at the American Dream excepting those enslaved by a system that doesn’t demand from those who are able.

Point 6: Mr. O’s accomplish­ments are what exactly.

Point 7: Sharpton is incorrect and is simply carrying on in his normal opportunis­tic fashion

You most apparantly accrue fans by preaching to your choir. Try stepping back and looking through clear glasses and listening without your ideoloical interprete­r. What Newt said had nothing to do with racial factors, but a lot to do with the socio/psyc­hological fact that it is much better to create a society based on what is possible than one that expects a four teated cow to nurture 100 calves. Politician­s have too long relied upon the creation of dependency as a means of purchasing votes. The creation of votes in this manner has done more to create a political plantation that enslaves people regardless of race. People of color are not the only reciepient­s of this form of sustenance­. I can pretty much bet that a strong 80% or better, of those recieving, vote democratic­. I can also bet that at least that large of a percentage of Republican Conservati­ves do not want people to suffer in our country. We do want those, who are able of so much more for themselves­, to realize their potential and their value. People like Sharpton are charlatons who live off the creation of dole enslavery.

I seems to me that the real racists in this country are idiots that proclaim everyone else to be racist. In my experience people are all the same except in their view of life and of those arround them. I do not enjoy anyone who resides in a state of anger and distrust at all levels. People such as Sharpdumb rely on anger and the creation of anger to give themselves relevance. Those that fall into his trough of crp are no better or no smarter than a truck load of gravel.

It amazes me and boggles the mind that there are any people in this whole universe that give this leech any creedence. This is comming from a man that relies on fanning the flames of anger and divisivene­ss just to keep his ego expanded. Turning Newts comment into a question of racial intent is sick. The fact of the matter is that due to the economic situation created by the collapse of the housing bubble perpetrate­d by the scam of the century, everyone should own a home, there are more caucasions on food stamps than African Americans. Newts comment was to the factual end that we need to create success not dependency and that is true regardless of race color or creed.
