Payroll Tax Cut Extension: Obama Asks Voters To Get Involved

In response 2 your crunch on Bush. It might be more fair if you were to look at the rise in unemployment after Republicans lost control of both house and senate!!

Average unemployment rate when one party controls the House and Senate but doesn't have the White House:

Republican House AND Senate Control, Democratic President

Total Months: 84

Average Unemployment Rate: 4.6

Democratic House AND Senate Control, Republican President

Total Months: 264

Average Unemployment Rate: 5.7

You might also notice that when there is a dem pres the repub house and senate lose ground on the unemployment. Would that be because they tend to appease the dempres?
