Supreme Court To Revisit Affirmative Action In University Of Texas Case


I would be willing to bet that somewhere in your affluent sounding place in society, someone busted their back or brain to provide the means to provide. I am also pretty sure that it was not because that person or persons were devoid of hope. I am not saying that all the things children need to catch up are not necessary but I am saying that not addressing the root causes does nothing to stop the illness. The causes have to be addressed. In reading many postings on this site you will be able to pick out those that are confronting this problem from a place of anger toward a people rather than toward a philosophy of life that lets children have children with no respect for the life that is going to happen. The underprivileged portion of the black community is most generally looked at as angry, mistrustful, and hopeless not because of their color but because of a set of societal norms they have adopted. If we are going to help we need to pressure their civic leadership to promote correct ethic patterns that will generate two parent families. The only hope extended, to the youngsters in those communities, are those of sports, or crime unless they are lucky enough to have a strong spiritual foundation.
