Regarding your disfactual belief system..(beliefs are not always truthfull no matter how honestly you promote them)
Bush Administration had the highest growth of our economy since the 50's, untill the dems took over the houses.\
"liberal/progressives value self reliance, family, country and God". Self reliance requires the position of responsibility of action and result. Not too apparant out of your side at this time. Blaming congress as do nothing when the dem/senate doesn't allow bills to reach the floor for votes, hmmmm.
What do you call a level playing field? We have one of the only economic systems in the world where you can go from garage to Microsoft, or from rubber and a waffle maker too Nike, or from haberdasher to President.
As for greed...what system in history has a better track record for charity, creativity, and opportunity to excel
