The American Soldier (poem)

The American Soldier...dedicated to our allies. by: Ron Burres  Dec,2005
I am the heart and soul of a single fighting man. Who died on foriegn soil, with freedom as my goal
Protecting what I thought was right, with freedom,  yes freedom as my goal.
I proudly carried our stars and stripes through battles in the heat and in the cold.
Along side all my friends who fought so brave and bold. With freedom, yes freedom as our goal.
The Spirit of thousands, American men and women Who died to soon, long before their time. Some so young and yet so old, filled with hope and dreams With freedom, yes freedom as their goal.
Fighting beside each other regardless of their creed.  Their families and children on knees at home praying for their needs. Freedom yes freedom was their goal.
Fighting for other countries, to keep their people safe. To protect their way of life their choice.  Freedom, yes freedom was their goal.
We've asked our allies our friends of old to help as once again another people cries to be free.          Where are they, don't they see Freedoms  need.   Where are they when we bleed?
